When I lived in Miami I started attending a lot of afterhour partiez which were mainly Circuit Partiez with DJ'z like Junior Vasquez (My Fave) , DJ Journey, Tony Moran & of course Peter Rauhofer. That'z where I earned tha name Fruit Fly... You can research that yourselvez... ;-)

In any case, it was a treat hearing Peter. My brother was full of energy. You would walk in the party all cool & refreshed & come out drenched in sweat with your clothes stuck 2 your skin with sweat, if you were wearing a shirt & pantz pulled down some from all the sweat from non-stop dancing.

Now here'z another one of my favorite DJ'z out of Germany, Nils Hoffman aka DJ Vader. Nils was a resident DJ @ thee legendary Club Douala in Germany. I would always send him my unreleased music to test on his dancefloor. Like this video of him rocking my track 'Universal Dance' which later came out on Japan's GALAXY RECZ. Wow!! What can I say about my brother Spanky. Not only Spanky is 1 of the members of Phuture, along with DJ Pierre & Herb Jackson Jr. They are thee creators of Acid House in Chicago with their infamous 'Acid Tacks' that came out in 1987'.

Spanky was not only one of my musical heroes but my brother as well. Here is a live mix of Spanky on London'z Pirate Revival Radio. I have a lot of Spanky's mixes to share, but 1 in particular he made for me in 2008'. Let'z just say it'z another side of Spanky he wanted to let lose but unfortunately never did. Spanky passed away on September 21st, 2016.

Even though he's gone from this planet, I am 100% sure my brother is waiting for us on the Heavenly realm. You see Spanky was a Christian Man like myself & put God 1st over everything as we all should.

I thought I'd start off the New Year with mix I did for DJ Pierre's Afro Acid Chicago I did with him on PUSH FM London. Pierre would start off with hour 1 & I'd close up with hour 2.

Psalms 150 = All Dressed Up & Ready 2 Jack!!!

I love House, Techno, Acid, Disco, Industrial, Punk, Funk, New Wave, Etc... Basically I just like music that sounds good to Manny's ears. Though I must say I always liked thee underdogs. The artist that didn't go by the rules so to speak... & John Coltrane was one of them.

I always loved jazz since a kid. My eldest sister's boyfriend at the time was big time into it & educated me to various jazz groups & artist like Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, etc... But it wasn't til the early 90's, my good friend Mike Nichols out of NYC that turned me on to John Coltrane.

John to me was like the Ron Hardy or Larry Levan of Jazz. He did things his way... NO RULES!!! He played musical notes that were not in the book of jazz. His dependency on heroin took his ears to another level just as Ron Hardy did @ the Musik Box in Chicago & Larry Levan @ The Paradise Garage in NYC.

I never wanted to be like thee next person or even create music that my mentors created... but sometimes your influences just come out of you. One good example would be when I played a Open House Conspiracy Pride event in St. Petersburg, Florida where I opened for Mood II Swing's Lem Sprinsteen. Before he came on he was like NO WAY AM I COMING ON!!! I was like why?? He was like you had the crowd going nuts!! Then after he said, you remind me so much of Junior Vasquez @ his Sound factory days. I must admit, that did put a smile in my face being a Junior -Head... Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this change of my musical selection uploads.

Here'z a mix I had 2 add 2 my tape collection. It'z no other than my brother, Spanky... Thee Voice of Phuture. Thiz Mix wuz done 4 Fact Magazine for their 808 Issue (August, 2008').

I wuz God blessed 2 play alongside my brother a few timez... & He even asked me when he wuz performing with DJ Pierre as Phuture, He would ask if I can tweak the 303. You know that'z a no brainer!!lol I wuz like YESSS!!!LOL I must say I did a pretty good job ")

You will hear more of that in our new group aNaloG '87 which wuz put 2gether by my brother LA Williams of Phuture 303. A lot 2 come out in 2024!!! And we plan on keeping Spanky's spirit alive in our joint'z & live PA'z.

For now, I miss you my brother Spanky... I can't see you but can feel your spirit alive & well... especially hearing your laugh💜
