Wow, I just found out 1 of Chicago'z legendary DJ, Teri Bristol passed away in September. I don't know how I missed that as Teri was alwayz very good to me whenever I hit tha Windy-City. It'z through her I learned about some hot gemms like Blake Baxter'z 'One More Time'... a record I still play to this very day.

May You R.I.P. & continue tha muzik as it sayz on my favorite verse in the Bible, Psalms 150....

Anyhow, let'z go back 2 a time when music was real & the DJ'z who DJ'd these infamous Clubs, like Sound Factory. It was a time when these DJ's put in their work not only behind the turntables but behind the mixing board consoles in recording studio's all around the globe... not like 2day by how many followers you have on your social media accounts. Now I'm not hating, I'm just remembering what it took 2 get these gigs back then... & I am so glad God created me at the time I came 2 Planet-E and actually lived the yearz when all these genres came about.

God has put great people in my path... especially in the musical realm. Royce was one of those people. Very funny, kind & was full of love. Not to mention his knowledge of music.

I've said this story before but I feel like it's well worth mentioning. Royce's record collection was huge!! & his knowledge was beyond this world. I remember one day calling him & he had company. So I was like, should I call you back when you're free?? He was like no big deal, I'm just helping David Mancuso select records for the next event. That pretty much shows you what kind of record collection he had.

In any case, my brother has gone to be with the Lord & I am so sure he's with David putting events in the Heavenly realm for our Creator above.

My Cuban brother was beyond cool!! He was about 2 prepare a mix for my then radio show on 91.5 FM WPRK... but unfortunately when he got back from Europe he ended up in the hospital & went 2 be with the Lord soon after.

This is thee actual master copy tape recorded in Junior's DJ booth by SF security staff member which I believe his name was George.
