This tape remindz me so much when I was cruisin' the streets of downtown Orlando & cars pulling up 2 me at the light flagging me down, then asking me what kind of music was I listening to??? I would be like... It's House Music from Chicago... then they'll be like, they actually play like that on the radio?!! By that time tha light turnz green & I move slowly while saying... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Now here'z 1 of my favorite Julian 'Jumpin' Perez mixtapes. In this mix Julian drops Derrick May's aka Rhythim Is Rhythim 'The Dance', which was the 1st time I heard it. I was like what's this crazy rhythm with these raw sparse beats patterned different from what Chicago was doing. And I have a true story that goes with that. That track seemed impossible for me to get. This is back in 1987. I honestly didn't know who made the track. fast-forward a few years later & The Shamen came to Orlando, Florida for this party with Moby & other great DJ's and artist @ Club Visage.

After thee event, Mr .C aka Richard West hung out with me & my friend Ned just on the way out of the club & we just talked for awhile about the House & Techno scene & tracks that we loved. At that moment I was like Mr .C, what's this song that goes like this... so I hummed Derrick May's 'The Dance' & right away Mr .C was, yo that's Derrick May's 'The Dance'. And that how I found out about that hot joint out of the Motor-City!LOL Thank you my brother Richard ♥

Farley has done a lot in mentoring other DJ'z who became HUGE DJs/Producers/Remixers, 1 being Steve 'Silk' Hurley.

I also want 2 give BIG prop'z 2 the man who recorded this mixtape, Mario Luna, The man behind the series of books 'Beyond Heaven'. If you're a TRUE CHICAGO HOUSE HEAD, these books r a MUST HAVE!!! I also want 2 give BIG PROPZ 2 Bill Schmilke of Unscene Records, Chicago.

This truly is a master class mixtape of the legendary Armando. I would have 2 say he was & still is the Prince of Chicago Acid House right behind Phuture.
