Born in Australia in 1974, DJ Water (born to Greek parents) grew up in a vibrant Melbourne household where the stereo was rarely turned off and music took precedence over television. This early, immersive exposure to diverse sounds laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for rhythm and beats.In 1990, he moved to Greece, where his professional musical journey truly began. By 1993, he was working at a local radio station, taking his first steps into the world of DJing. In 1995, DJ Water began commanding the decks at key venues across Samos Island, including Metropolis Club, Apothiki After Club, and Melodi. While he initially played mainstream sets, his fascination with electronic music grew steadily. By 1998, he secured a residency at Escape Music Club, followed by a landmark summer residency at Cabbana Club in Kokkari, Samos, in 1999.Seeking to master the technical side of his craft, DJ Water moved to Athens, where he completed a degree in sound engineering. He spent the next five years sharpening his technical ears working as a sound engineer at OXYZED Post Productions. It was during this period in Athens that his sonic evolution came full circle, anchoring his true identity in Progressive House and deep sounds.Today, DJ Water is widely renowned for his smooth blending, flawless transitions, and meticulous track hunting. Combining technical precision with deep emotional curation, he has built a distinct reputation for exceptional sound quality and an unforgettable dancefloor vibe.
