This episode, titled "The Streets of South Philly," is dedicated to Billy Cermele, Anthony Lauer, Joey Mas (of course!) and a whole bunch of people that I grew up with on the streets of South Philly. In between the mixes, I will tell you some stories about my time on the streets of South Philly, the people I prowled those streets with, and the types of songs we listened to. We didn't listen to Led Zepplin or Pink Floyd or any of that crap, so if you want to hear acoustic guitar garbage that you can smoke dope to, this isn't the podcast for you.
As always, the mixes and songs are top-notch. The song list is as follows:
Rock The Bells - LL Cool J
Eric B. is President - Eric B. & Rakim
My Philosophy - Boogie Down Productions
Brand New Funk - Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
Don't Believe the Hype - Public Enemy
Bring The Noise - Public Enemy
There's No Stopping Us - Ollie & Jerry
Don't You Want Me - Jody Watley
The Rain - Oran "Juice" Jones
Rumors - Timex Social Club
Show Me - The Cover Girls
If You Should Ever Be Lonely - Val Young
The Return of Captain Rock - Captain Rock
