Just a bit of a drone that happened while I was thinking about WTH to do about the lights not working.

Finally getting to put some of the expensive Premiere Pro training to practical use, by editing a 2 hour studio jam down to something shorter. It's a mix of bits of actual what one might call a tune, with bits of knob twiddling. I recorded this with OBS and well that still has issues losing video input. You can see how the bottom left camera is 'stuck', bottom right's autofocus turned itself off, and top right cam is the iPhone 8 streaming NDI video over the Wifi so it's way laggy.. and that's before you even get to the camera angles which are all.. completely un-thought-out, so far. It's a process..

I don't know, just mucking about with shit on a Friday evening. Skip the first 20 minutes or so where I was still working out WTH was going on.. I think I got most of it on multitrack so there's stems that can be worked into a proper thing.

Hydrasynth, Rocket, Streichfett, JP08, RS09 .. channeling one of those early Berlin School style things but also they didn't have an Erbe Verbe did they, so there.

A very rough ScreenFlow edit of yesterday's studio session with Shane & me. You'll note the video is much better quality than previously seen on this channel because of my new M2 MacBook Air. The only problem with ScreenFlow is getting accurate timing for the audio edits.. Next time I'll set the OBS project to a higher frame rate and see if that gives it a bit better accuracy for editing music.

Oh nothing much just me & Shane messing about and having some moments of goodness. Around the 17 minute mark, and at 17:50 specifically, you can see my frustration when the FantomXR decides to receive on MIDI channel 6 instead of ch11 (or come to think of it possibly went into Omni mode, I don't think there was anything else happening on the bus) and the display was frozen anyway so I had to turn it off and on again. I love the sonic engine and the theory of the Fantom at least but boy it's a PiTA to use.

After the others left I turned on the lightings and had my own little jam sesh. This would be so much better if I had a Mac that could do video more than 2fps or whatever it is.

Should've recorded this properly to make into something proper and real but didn't because this stuff is so easy to do it just doesn't matter, ok? Oh also one of the camera feeds wasn't working but OBS is too dumb to skip a blank source when it sees it, so sorry about the black bits.. it's all about the sound anyway. Shut your eyes if it bugs you.

I've been listening to a lot of Craven Faults this week so this is a kind of tribute to / inspired by sort of thing. As per usual it contains a lot of faff and a proper edit of just the good bits would be much shorter.. but I'm too lazy for that so here presented is warts and all.
