It seems only appropriate to release a mega mix after an extended absence.  After many months of non-stop EMBA apps, I finally caught some time to come back to the show (perhaps just the ‘calm before the storm’ when I start classes…).  Vocal trance is the Hors d’oeuvre, with hard synth in the main course, and some palette-cleansing nostalgic minors to finish.

Also worth mentioning:

Architecture Upgrades!  I overhauled the site, replacing tired LibSyn technology with a fresh trio of PodPress, BlueHost, and Amazon s3.  You may get duplicate downloads because your RSS client thinks the migrated posts are new.  If this happens you can either keep the duplicates (ignorance is bliss) OR delete all the files and let your RSS client re-sync the whole show.  I recommend a re-sync because of….

Encoding Upgrades!  Well, sort of.  M4a files are nice and all for their chapter marking support BUT the compatability issues are not worth the headache.  As of tomorrow midnight EDT everything will be converted to good ‘0l mp3.

It’s awesome.  (Not as awesome as you, but still pretty cool)

A massive mix in the making, this set is composed almost entirely of “5” tracks (tracks that scored a 5 out of 5 on my pre-mix rating scale).  This highly evolved scale is both entirely subjective and statistically irrelevant, but at least you know that they made the cut in my mind.  This also results in longer track plays between transitions.  Let me know if you prefer more of a “hot-mix”, with 2-3 minute cuts instead of the longer ones!

Tracks are lined up for Episode 16 and check back soon for the first official lounge mix.  Initially I wanted this to be a ~monthly podcast, but given the difficulty in the mixes I think every 6 months is more likely…

Yay!  Another mix!  Had a tough time trying to isolate a hardware issue, but now that that’s resolved(ish) you can expect Episode 15 to be on its way shortly.  About 2/3 of the way through this set is a track by Leko – a personal favorite.  Let me know what you think!

Here it is, ladies & gentlemen – Episode 13 (the first live podcast feed).

Since I’m a bit of a purist, I will try at all costs to avoid overlaying my lovely voice on my show, and instead leave this as a forum for current info.

To start, the first Episode is 13 because while this podcast is new, my mixes are not.  As we go along I will try to remaster some of the mixes I made before the most current (read: old) so that you can all get those nostalgic tinglies.

In the meantime, sit back & relax, crank up the bass, and enjoy what I can assure you will be some of the best and most elusive tracks of our time.
