DJ's Sports Show

In today's  @wrcram1700  episode, I'm joined by  @buffalobills   writer for  @Fansided  O'Donnell to discuss our thoughts/reactions to Thursday Night's Football game between the Bills and  @MiamiDolphins and Tua Tagavailoa's concussion. I also discuss the Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga fight as Alvarez looks to defend his WBO, WBC, and WBA super middleweight titles. I close by reflecting on giving Nyack varsity football its first-ever media day and becoming the first sideline reporter in the school's history.

In Part One of Two with another great woman in sports, Patriots League Journalist and ESPN+ softball reporter Maria Trivelpiece, we get into her upbringing in Hazelton, PA, her great softball career in high school, winning four Atlantic-10 Conference championships at Fordham University, and more in part one. Leave a five-star rating, share, and follow the podcast!

The NFL season is quickly approaching, and there is no better way to get ready than to talk football with my friend Manny Wilson of the Run Up Podcast. Leave a like and subscribe!

We are back with another great interview on the DJ Sports Show. This time, I’m joined by another Rockland native and my friend, a media savant in the one and only Jolie Santiago! Jolie has accomplished so much already at such a young age. She graduated from SUNY Oswego this past May as a News Anchor, Sports Anchor, News Producer, VP of Finance, and much more for  @WTOP10TV.  She also was the captain of the RCC volleyball team, helping lead it to its first-ever NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division III volleyball national championship appearance.

To close out my final guest of the Tremendous Twenty-Four before my EPIC POLL dropping on 6/22 in honor of four years of the DJ Sports Show is SUNY New Paltz Hawks Men's Basketball Star Rylan Blondo! Rylan and I first met during my senior year at New Paltz when I was the sports announcer for the basketball games for both the women's and men's games. It was a privilege to watch a dynamic guard and leader such as Rylan, who can score exceptionally well on all three levels on the basketball court. He's an exceptional player but an even better leader in how he galvanizes his teammates and plays on both ends. He's one of the hardest working people I've met and one of my favorite guests I've interviewed in this elite first 24 group. 0:00- Sponsor 0:46- Intro 2:07- Welcoming 2024 Male Scholar Basketball Player Of The Year Rylan Blondo 3:28- Growing up in Queens/Glendale 5:23- Introduction To Basketball 7:06- Role Models 8:04- Queens Hoops Legends, How Queens Helped Toughen Rylan 9:57- How Other Sports Helped For Basketball 11:38- Lynbrook Middle School 12:35- AAU With Game 7 & Queens Marksmen 14:30- Playing Varsity As A Freshman At Lynbrook 17:20- Sophomore Year At Lynbrook 21:04- Taking Leadership Role Junior Year, Breaking Knee Cap 23:50- Historic Senior Season, Winning Lynbrooks Second Conference Title Since 1989 32:00- Losing to Manhasset in 2019 Nassau County A Final 33:27- Best Players Played With.Against In High School 36:00- High School Accomplishments 37:51- College Decision, Choosing New Paltz 41:17- Adjusting To The College Game 43:56- Impact Of Pandemic, Improving Game At Avalon Park 45:52- Super Sophomore Season.
