Whether you agree with the tithe or not, a percentage level of giving is essential for holiness, vital for the ongoing work of the church, and it’s required for receiving God’s blessing.

When you serve, it’s not about you or how you can benefit. You are doing something primarily for the benefit and goodwill of another person or group of people. Serving others means making space for them and seeing them as valuable and worthy to be served, simply because God views them that way.

The whole point of church is to get into a community of people who I can love and enter into what might be called a shared life. Because growth happens within the context of relationships.
