Psalm 38 is a prayer of repentance by someone who is suffering from sickness. Death is near and God is the only hope. Ultimately, Psalm 38 reveals Jesus Christ, who suffered for (our) sin. While the psalmist begs for forgiveness, Jesus is our assurance of forgiveness.
