"Hello! Welcome to Do Something With, a podcast where healthcare students and professionals explore what it takes to do something about the injustices we see in our day to day lives. I’m Victoria Ngo, a fourth year medical student going into family medicine, and these ten episodes are a love letter to the changemakers and hearthealers who defined my medical education as well as a guide for myself as I strive to live my values and do the social justice work while moving through residency and beyond. Come along, and we’ll start our journey going back to the basics of LOVE and ACCOUNTABILITY, which we’ll build upon to outline tangible and actionable lessons of making spaces for CARE, navigating CHAOS, finding your COURAGE, PERSEVERING for sustainable movements, and learning how to empower others through MENTORSHIP. Finally, we’ll ground ourselves in reminders to seek and hold with tenderness NUANCE, RADICAL ACCEPTANCE, and most importantly, TRUST. And who knows, maybe at the end of all this, we might just convince ourselves that we can actually change the world."
