E20: Why do we center the opinion of others when they are not even people we respect or seek to emulate ourselves? 

This has been a confounding dilemma for me through the years, and I am just now learning tricks to diffuse this process in the moment, return home, and live peacefully in the discomfort of being misunderstood.
