• Hunter Biden: He became the first child of a sitting president to be convicted of a federal crime. He was convicted on three felony gun charges in June 2024 and later pleaded guilty to federal tax charges. He was ultimately pardoned by President Joe Biden in late 2024, which terminated all proceedings against him.
• Trump Children: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump have primarily faced civil litigation rather than criminal charges. A New York state civil investigation focused on allegations that the Trump Organization inflated asset values for financial gain. While they were ordered to testify under oath, these cases did not carry the threat of jail time unless perjury occurred.
