Do We Like Movies?

May the Fourth be with you.

Today is the first episode of our special Star Was review series. We will be tackling all the movies in this classic saga one by one leading up to Star Wars: Episode 9 - The Rise of Skywalker.

Plot Synopsis from IMDB:

As imminent conflict brews between the powerful Trade Federation and the peaceful planet of Naboo, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi travel to Naboo to warn the Queen of the galactic fallout which is to follow. Eventually, Naboo is invaded forcing the Jedi to evacuate the planet with the Queen and her court. They travel to the desert planet of Tatooine where they meet a slave boy named Anakin Skywalker who is evidently one with the Force. They enlist his help in fighting the war, while the Jedi confront one of the Dark Jedi behind the invasion, Darth Maul, while his master Darth Sidious continues to lead the invasion as a "phantom" behind the scenes.

… Well kind of. With the passing of Lorraine Warren last week, we decided to start this episode with a dive into some of the famous cases and our familiarity with the famed ghost hunter with her husband Ed. The film is a fictionalized account of a haunting in a Rhode Island farmhouse in the 1970s. This film is a throwback to the films inspired by the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, along with hints of The Exorcist (1973) and Poltergeist (1982). Join your hosts for a spooky review of James Wan's now classic horror movie.

Podcasts are simple.. you make choices and you don't look back.

Before it became a series about car drivers who pull heists and are secret agents, this unique movie franchise was trying to find a direction. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker had seemingly moved on from this series, so the cast had to get younger. The result was a hybrid racing/teen movie with a fish out of water feel.

Join you hosts as we take a trip into the Tokyo underworld drift racing culture depicted in the third movie of The Fast and the Furious film series, Tokyo Drift.
