Do We Like Movies? episodes

  • Batman Begins (2005) Re-Upload

This episode was originally recorded in early 2019. After the first major DC Movie disaster that was Batman & Robin, the Dark Knight was truly dead on film. In 2003, the indie director of Memento, Christopher Nolan, embarked on the journey of bringing Batman's origin story on film for the first time.

Largely adapted from the Frank Miller graphic novel "Batman: Year One", this movie was one of the first "reboots" of the 00s and would leave a lasting imprint on the Comic Book movie genre that is still felt and imitated to this day. Join us as we review Nolan's 2005 classic, Batman Begins.

  • Encanto (2021)

Though it came to theaters in November of 2021, few movies in the last year have had both the cultural impact, and caused more dialogue on our community than this Disney film. We are introduced to the Madrigal family who are given the gift of an Enchanted (GET IT?) candle that grants each family member a special ability, with the exception of our main character Mirabel. Get ready to talk about generational trauma!
