Doubts have been raised about the projected benefits of the RM55 billion East Coast Rail Link project. Awarded to China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) through direct negotiations, rather than an open tender, the project’s premise has been criticised in our guest’s column in Malaysiakini, titled  “10 reasons why we don’t need RM55 billion east coast rail link”.
