What lets you know it's getting closer to Christmas? The darker days and longer nights? The music on the radio? The colder weather? For me, I know it's getting closer to Christmas when I see the lights. The light on houses and trees let me know that the Christmas season is here. The Israelite people looked for the same thing to let them know that the Messiah had come. They looked for light. Not small colored lights but a great light that dawned on the land of darkness. That light has come in Jesus and He is why we celebrate this season. Listen as we look at Isaiah 9 and discover the hope, promise, and significance of the child who was born.
