California, Florida, New York, Texas, Connecticut, Illinois, Arizona, and New Jersey plan to continue testing asymptomatic individuals for COVID-19 despite a CDC recommendation to discontinue such testing.

Yesterday the CDC gave emergency use authorization to Abbot for an inexpensive rapid COVID-19 test. They also noted that because of its lack of sensitivity, retesting should be considered for the vast majority of patients using this test.

The CDC officially recommends to not argue with individuals noncompliant with mandatory mask wearing.
