The documentary FAST: The Ear of the Universe is a production of RTVE's Somos Documentales series, directed by Fabrice Gardel. Running 51 minutes and 31 seconds, it offers a detailed look at the construction and operation of the FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope) radio telescope, the largest in the world, located in Guizhou Province, China. This scientific instrument has a diameter of 500 meters and is capable of detecting radio signals from objects tens of thousands of light-years away. Its construction represented an unprecedented technical challenge, especially given its location in the heart of the Chinese mountains.
