Trying to fix a well-worn clutch on a mixer made of finest grade Chinesium with no spare parts available. Heatshrink tube to the rescue, though I'd rather use 3D printing or molding to make a new spline, if I had access to the technology. Lefthand thread spotted too.
Thanks to all my subscribers for reaching the first milestone (100 subs). We're getting out there, thanks for your help!
Very disappointed about Youtube still not letting me choose a custom channel link, although I fulfilled last one of the requirements (100+ subscribers) on the Saturday night. All other requirements (30+ days since channel creation, and profile pic & banner uploaded) were met a few months ago when I was setting it all up. This kinda blocks my progress here (especially with promoting my channel, setting up a Patreon page etc.) and is rather demotivating...
I was also looking for help at the YT support forum, found more than just a few people there who had this very problem in 2021, and they got the same kind of replies: the list of requirements for being eligible for a custom URL. I mean, they probably reported an issue on the forum BECAUSE they knew about these requirements beforehand and that they met them, right? And yet they got the same kind of reply: "your channel must be at least 30 days old, you must have a banner, a profile pic and at least 100 subscribers" yadda yadda yadda. Which to me is just implying that the creator reporting this issue is not really smart. Meh.
I guess every tier of creators has their own Kryptonite, but we all have that one thing in common: YT does not lay out the rules clearly or stick to them, rigging the game against us.
