We had an amazing chat about his upbringing he got into the business, his time at Babson College, and much more.
Treca is one of the main activewear and urban footwear distributors in Peru. He was responsible for the business idea and the structure and operation to grow the business from 0 to more than 60,000 transactions per year. His specific responsibilities included: hiring the management team, negotiating terms with national and international vendors, developing the distribution network across all the channels (traditional, modern, and direct), signing store leasing contracts with shopping malls as well as independent street-view stores. During my CEO-CFO role, Treca transitioned from an SMB (PYME) to a principal tax contributor in the country, opened 15 specialty stores, and managed the relationship with the financial institutions to secure the credit lines needed to be able to grow the business at a CAGR of 30% during 7 years. He was also actively involved in defining the processes with IT management focusing on technology and automation to be able to support the operations.
