Have you ever heard people say the christian bible supports slavery? or that the slave traders manipulated our ancestors with the Bible?

I remember the first time I heard that slave traders used the Bible as a tool to maintain slavery and keep slaves submissive. I was livid, angry and bitter towards the God of the Bible.

I knew next to nothing about the nature of God and so, I was so bitter and angry on behalf of our ancestors.
