FEATURING MICHELE L. KILPATRICK - After surprisingly refusing to support President Joe Biden’s signature climate legislation, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin has now announced support for a new compromise bill being dubbed the Inflation Reduction Act. The bill, which includes a mish mash of climate, healthcare, and tax policy initiatives apparently does little to curb inflation, but appears to allow Mr. Manchin to salvage his reputation in the face of withering criticism for stymying his party’s political agenda.
