Can what we eat really affect our mental state? YES MA'AM!

In today's episode, I go over in super basic terms the connection between the brain and the gut and why what we put into our bodies directly relates to how we feel mentally. I'm currently reading This is Your Brain on Food by Dr. Uma Naidoo, a Nutritional Psychiatrist at Harvard. The information from this book is what is informing today's episode. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

As women, it is important to learn about our hormones, how to handle stress, etc., as anxiety disorders tend to occur more in us than in men (but men need to learn about and monitor their mental health, too! We want our guys to be happy and healthy!). The type and quality of the food we eat can help support a healthy brain, so why not learn all we can??

I am going to create a few episodes based on the facts I learn from this book, so this topic will be peppered in with all other topics we discuss on this podcast!
