How many times have you tried to go on a health journey with the main focus being to lose weight as fast as possible?
I know I've done it tons of times. The truth is, focusing too much on weight loss be any means possible is not a health journey. It's just a recipe for misery and burnout.
In reality, none of us can have success with a healthy lifestyle until we completely change how we define and understand true health. For us women, I believe it's been sold to us as endless cardio and salads. It is truly NOT that.
Like I said, I've tried to lose weight tons of times and failed at each of them. THIS time, I tried to actually just get healthy, and lo and behold, I've lost over 20lbs as a side effect. Aaaaand it's been sustainable and has not felt restrictive!
It all begins in your brain. We MUST look at health deeper than just weight loss! Today I'm sharing a few tips that relate to mindset and behavior/habit changes that have helped (and continue to help me) me on my way to true health from the inside out!
