Dogglounge Deep House Radio

Mix recorded live here at the station on 2018 Oct 28.  Support the station!

Wow – this my 80th set here at Dogglounge. Amazing. It’s been great.

No real predetermined audio theme for this set; it’s just what sounded good at the moment.

Track list will probably be at the Mixcloud page for the set, but at the moment the Mixcloud site won’t allow me to upload. Keep an eye out at my artist profile page.

Recorded live here at the station on 2018 Oct 14.

I wanted this set to have a little more funk than normal; so most (not all) tracks have a nice groove to them. It’s not fully soul/funk, but “funky house”.

Thanks to all the listeners, and especially to those who show up in the chat while the DJs spin. It’s nice to have positive feedback for our needy DJ egos (lol).

Tracklist at the mixcloud page for this set.

Thanks to all the listeners during the show, specially to the family in the chat room. To all the black women around the House music world. Keep fighting.

Recording of set played live at here at the station on 2018 Oct 07. Thanks to all the listeners (and those that showed up in chat)!

I had no real centering for the song selection here, other than just how each one felt. Set title comes from the fact that – although it’s fall here in New England – the sun time is still “lasting” nicely enough into the evening to make me happy.

First October friday show. Hope all of you enjoyed the show. A big hug to all the family in the chat room, in this travel from black jazzy sounds to the NYC Muscle House dance floor. Keep supporting the station, comment, share, and if you want, donate. Help us to keep being a non advert radio.

No real commentary on this.  Tracklist available at the Mixcloud page for this set.

To all the Paradise Garage followers all over the world. No, this is not a compilation about the tracks that Larry Levan, Danny Krivit, Francoise Kevorkian or David Depino played at the Garage, but a solid testimony that more than three decades later, his legacy it’s alive.

So ladies, dress to kill tonite on this travel to the dancefloor

So much thans to all the listeners during the mix, specially the family in the chat room.

From 2003, Dogglounge Radio fighting for spread the House that we Love. 24/7, no adverts, just supported by donatios of the listeners. A labour of love and honor.

Live set from here at the station on 2018-09-16.

Somehow I forgot to record the original broadcast of this set. But, I had the track list; so, I re-recorded it another day. Sadly, I was doing (real, non-DJ) work while re-recording, so a couple of the transitions are sub-optimal. Still, I liked (most of) the song selection, so it’s worth re-recording – & I still think it’s worth listening to.

Tracklist is at the Mixcloud posting for this set.

Mix recorded live here at the station on 2018 Sep 09 – my 75th show here!

I recently had a chance to both spin tunes & go dancing at a fun event. I was (am) still in a mood for that when I did this set. So it trends a bit more towards danceable music than background deep house.

I note that I got to stand behind the legendary Carl Cox in the DJ booth for some time at the recent event. Watching how he worked the equipment taught me somethings I wasn’t doing before, that I’m now trying to incorporate into my technique. I think I’m better for it.

Tracklist shown at my Mixcloud page for the set.

To all that ones who do all the things in life with love, dedication, effort, against all odds, because they put his soul, body and mind before money. To all that ones that choose the path of art, in any kind of expression, and they create following his own nature, apart from market tendences, critics, competitors, fame, glory, richness and all the selfie shit cullture. Things must come from the bones, just because you are expresing trough art your own soul. A big hug to all the family, specially to the people in the chat room

So, fucking idiots, good music has no age, and no countries. If you play with a sofisticated equipment or a cassete, who cares!, in the end, the travel and the feelings are the most important side.

To Fernando Mazza, obrigado por ser tu, bro.
