Dogglounge Deep House Radio

“One had to breathe consciously and deliberately, which, though disconcerting at first, induced after a time an almost ecstatic tranquillity of mind. The whole body moved in a single rhythm of breathing, walking, and thinking; the lungs, no longer discrete and automatic, were disciplined to harmony with mind and limb.”

Lost Horizon - James Hilton

I was feeling nostalgic and dug back into the crates from around 2011-2013 and a few other years inbetween. It felt good to play some classic vocal house and other gems I had not heard in a while. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed mixing it! Sara xo

"... And Ulysses looked at Circe, his brow furrowed and his gaze fixed on the distance, and looking at the infinite sand dunes by the sea, he replied: 'Her heart must be that of a child, who despite the passing years, still finds the wonder of beauty in small things; may she have a wall of tenderness against the bitterness of life, may her spirit be as free as the sea breeze, and may she keep within her heart passion, devotion, and love; one who understands the message in music, in the night, and in the stars. She must possess the dignity of a queen, the determination and the power to be herself, and may that dignity show from within and without, far beyond her beauty. But that is my fantasy, for only the Gods know each one's destiny, and I live in the hope of being able to live it.'And in the distance, a siren, hearing Ulysses' words, wept."

Hope all of you enjoy it ! Peace and Love

August 22nd, 2018, at the Albufeira Marina. 6:00 PM, and I begin a four-hour set until 10:00 at night. An infernal heat under the blue tents, the color of Yemayá, on a tremendously blue day, but headphones didn't properly works until the 5th or 6th track, and sun was so intense and computer was too hot, but there I was, so suddenly I'd noticed that was a perfect summer day, surrounded by boats and the calm of the evening, I was able to give back to the Algarve all the music it taught me and that I have loved. I started with a track I used to open my sessions with at Café del Mar in Seville, in a journey that goes from Yoruba roots to Soulful and House,

From those distant, echoing timbales, the finest Deep House to the uplifting Soulful, and finally the eternal violins and the piano with Frankie Knuckles everything coming from my soul was a way to thank a land and friends that I always carry in my heart. Watching the best DJs from both inside and outside Portugal, they showed me a path in music through the heart.

And all around me, everything in the evening seemed to merge with the summer

"The sea is everything. It covers seven tenths of the terrestrial globe. Its breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely, for he feels life stirring on all sides. The sea is only the embodiment of a supernatural and wonderful existence. It is nothing but love and emotion; it is the `Living Infinite,? as one of your poets has said."

Captain Nemo - Jules Verne
