"If an event is not great, the balancing required is slight. If it is momentous, then it may take days, years, even lifetimes for things to return to an even keel. Actually, without these slight imbalances, there could be no movement in life. It is being off balance that keeps life changing." - Dr. David Kowalek

Guest:

Gina Knepp, Michelson Found Animals Foundation - FoundAnimals.org

Show Notes:

In this week's episode, hosts Jasen Arias and Sylvia Wes chat with Gina Knepp of the Michelson Found Animals Foundation about the power, or lack of power, found in the identification of our fur-kids!

Gina Knepp recently retired as the Animal Care Services Manager for the Front Street Animal Shelter - City of Sacramento. She currently has an exciting new role as the National Shelter Engagement Director for Michelson Found Animals Foundation. Just 8 years ago Gina was new to the animal industry, transforming what was once the worst-performing shelter in town to one of incredible life-saving. Through the development of creative and zany programs, Front Street was rebranded and flourished under her leadership. Community partnerships and relationships with Sacramento’s residents and businesses have resulted in making Front Street a household name. Serving the city limits of Sacramento, with an animal intake of 12,000 critters per year, the State’s Capitol shelter is now a vibrant hub of activity, energy, and success. Gina’s motto in life is, "Try anything once, twice if it feels good, the third time - it’s policy!"
