Where to start with this crazy day? With Serbia surging 3-1 ahead of Cameroon, a lot of people would have given up on todayโฆ big mistake โ from there it was total mayhem! Cameroon came back to save their tournament before their neighbours Ghana salvaged their campaign in a thriller after blowing their own 2 goal lead against Korea to steady and win 3-2.
Chris Marinopoulos joins the show to wrap up this chaos as well tournament heavyweights Brazil and Portugal sealing their places in the round of 16. Portugal's win featured its own controversy via a penalty awarded after a player who was nutmegged broke his fall backwards with his forearm that would meet the ball as it trickled past.

The inimitable stylings of Matthew 'Porchy' Porch fill the Doha Daily studio today, looking back at Germany clinging to their last grasp of hope of progression against Spain, Croatia revving up against Canada and major backwards stumbles by earlier victors Belgium and Japan.
A little bit of reflection on France '98 and how the football has stood up so far at Qatar 2022 whilst the politics hasn't.

In Group A play, Senegal salvaged their campaign and eliminated the hosts whilst Ecuador showed they could be the real deal in their entertaining draw with superpower Holland, setting this group up to also go down to the wire on the final day.

It's Sunday Funday, so today's show is a Georgios double act as siblings Karyn and Phillip talk through the joys of watching their national side win a first World Cup match in 12 years, with the added bonus of results elsewhere meaning Australia has its destiny well and truly within its own hands.
There's also the superstars Messi and Lewandowksi hauling their countries back into the tournament, and we cover off a bit of FIFA pop culture too by chatting through some of the best theme songs of World Cups gone by.

In the hot seat today is David 'Big D' Bracale as four European superpowers kick off their campaigns (namely Croatia, Germany, Spain and Belgium) with very mixed results.
Belgium laboured to a win over Canada, Croatia looked relieved to secure a scoreless draw with Morocco whilst Germany were upstaged by Japan and Spain steamrolled Costa Rica.
We also take a quick look at the evolution of the squads over the past 3 or 4 World Cup's and a couple of features of the broadcast which could get tiresome after a month.

Today we wrap up Australia's briefly tantalising - but ultimately debilitating - tournament bow against France and a monumental upset of tournament favourites Argentina by Saudi Arabia.
The other 2 games featured no goals but plenty of action with Denmark confronting an extremely partisan crowd against Tunisia and a similar scenario for Poland facing Mexico, with a missed penalty costing the Europeans a major chance to seize the ascendancy in Group C.
Special guest Cameron Jansen also gives his early grade on the broadcaster in Australia, SBS, and the tournament kits and we look ahead to the 4th matchday which features European heavyweights Croatia, Germany, Spain and Belgium entering the championships in consecutive matches.
