Bondi taps federal New York prosecutor to lead probe into Epstein’s relationship with Democrats

Bondi said she has selected acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton to lead the investigation.

“Clayton is one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country, and I’ve asked him to take the lead,” Bondi said on X. “As with all matters, the Department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”

Clayton will also investigate Clinton’s former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.

The acting attorney previously served as the chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump’s first administration.

Bongino is also a former Secret Service Agent.
