On this episode of Dojo to Tatami, Joe and Chris talk to Jack Somers, a member of the KUGB England Team and sensei of Senshuken Shotokan Karate Club.

Jack has won 1 Gold & 4 Bronze medals in World championships, as well as 7 Gold, 2 Silver & 3 Bronze medals in European champions, of which 2 Gold (Cadet European Individual Champion in 2011 and Senior European Individual Champion in 2013)

& 3 Bronze medals were in individual kata events and 6 Gold, 2 Silver & 4 Bronze in Team kata.

Domestically, Jack has won the National Champion individual senior kata event 7 consecutive wins 2016, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, The Shotokan Cup Senior Individual Kata event 6 wins 2015, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 and winner of Shotokan Cup for most outstanding Kata Performance 5 times 2015, 16, 17, 21, 22. Jack also has multiple medals at Junior and Child level at National Level both Team and individual kata as well as kumite
