Discovered by Robert DeNiro at 17, Domenick Lombardozzi, has barely stopped to breathe. Currently, he has three projects in various stages of production.
I met Dom at Phil Rosenthal’s movie night a couple of years ago when they were working on The Winklers. I'm not sure if it's our shared Bronx heritage, or if it's just Dom's way, but every time I see him it's like hanging with famiily. This conversation, a case in point.
Best know as Herc in The Wire, Dom began his career handpicked by DeNiro to be Nicky Zero in A Bronx Tale. He straddles both sides of the law, criminal to enforcer… he’s bared his buns, literally, on Entourage, has appeared on NYPD Blue, Oz, Law & Order, 24, was a series regular on Breakout Kings, Boardwalk Empire, The Adventures of Mr. Clown, and can currently be seen on Rosewood and Sneaky Pete.
On the big screen, Dom appears in Bridge of Spies, The Wannabe, and The Gambler to name a few. The man is always working.
I so admire the actor, adore the man, and am excited to share this journeyman's journey with you.
