In light of the recent electoral landslide, Alex and Jeremy discuss how Christians should respond to Trump’s victory. Many Christians wrongly assume that the gratitude required of us for rulers who allow for good (cf. 1 Tim 2:1-2) is an implicit endorsement for everything they are and do. This is not true, logically or Scripturally. Christians should be thankful for any restraint on evil, and promotion of good, even while we remain critical in calling all men to repent and turn to Christ.

This week, Jeremy and Alex discuss the task of taking dominion in light of the reality of death. On the one hand, death’s power has been definitively broken in the death of Christ. On the other hand, death’s presence will remain until the return of Christ, when He will destroy His final enemy.

One of the dangers we face in our path of following Christ is the temptation to desire the many good gifts He gives more than Him. Jesus Christ is merciful and good, and there are countless blessings to His reign. Western culture has experienced many of these. But it is possible to love justice, and the rule of law, and human dignity, and free markets, and family, and freedom and not love Christ.
