"Titanic: Legacy" host Paul Carganilla talks with author and historian Don Lynch about the past, present, and future of the Titanic Historical Society.
Don is a pinnacle Titanic author and historian. He authored the books “Titanic: an Illustrated History” and “Ghosts of the Abyss” (among others). His book “Illustrated History” helped pitch and green-light James Cameron’s 1997 film. Don served as an on-set Historian on the Cameron film, and even got to play Frederic Spedden in the top-spinning scene. He’s been down to see the wreckage with his own eyes twice - once sitting next to James Cameron himself (on 9/11, actually). He has been the Official Historian for the Titanic Historical Society for several decades, and over the years he met and formed personal relationships with 20 survivors of the Titanic disaster… and also numerous other suvivor families.
