114 years ago, two young women, Celiney Yasbeck and Leah Aks survived the tragic sinking of the White Star Line's R.M.S. Titanic. The women came from completely different backgrounds and did not know each other, but, as fate would have it, they both eventually settled down in Norfolk, Virgina... just a few blocks from each other.
39 years after Titanic, the two women met and sat down with a reporter from the local newspaper to share memories of their experiences on Titanic.
75 years after that meeting and interview, onn April 13th, 2026, something truly epic happened on the Cunard/White Star Line R.M.S. Queen Mary, now docked in Long Beach, California...
Celiney Yasbeck's granddaughter (Laura Decker Ward) and Leah Aks's great-granddaughter (Shelley Binder) met and sat down with 'Titanic: Legacy' host Paul Carganilla to share their ancestors' memories of their experiences on Titanic.
Join us next year for Titanic Anniversary Weekend 2027 on the Queen Mary! Mark your calendars for April 11-14, 2027... and find all the most-recent updates and info at www.TitanicWeekend.com !
