Donald Trump's Downfall: White Men Enable, Black Women Hold Accountable

Listen Later

Donald Trump is a monstrous product of the white men who have failed to hold him accountable. The trouble he faces is a result of his actions and those of his associates. Joe Scarborough, the host of Morning Joe, has repeatedly stated on his show that people in New York were aware of his tendency to overstate.

Donald Trump is responsible for his own downfall and would have been wiser if he had followed Public Enemy's advice and not believed the hype he created and others created around him. He should have known himself better. White men have enabled him to lie about his wealth, they have allowed him to use the courts to force contractors to accept whatever he pays them. Donald Trump does not see how his fraud has hurt others because he does not consider himself as part of the other.

He fails to realize that he is no longer in a familiar environment. He can no longer rely on the sycophants who would ignore his misdeeds and let him do as he wishes. Donald Trump posed a question yesterday while addressing the cameras during one of the recesses at his civil trial, and it was similar to why New York is suing him now. It shows how unaware he was of the many people who have turned a blind eye and let him have his way.

It also shows he did not anticipate that the people who would hold him accountable would not resemble him. They would be black, for the most part, but even more egregious to Trump, they are women. Black women who are DAs and a judge, for the most part, are holding Donald Trump accountable. His disparaging remarks about the black judge and DAs show that he does not think that they have the authority to challenge him. And because he is dealing with the state or federal government, he cannot outspend them and use the justice system against them.
