In 1966, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale were not focused on making money as its primary goal. Instead, they organized a party that was dedicated to addressing systemic racism, police brutality, and the social injustices faced by Black Americans. Their agenda emphasized community empowerment and self-defense, with a significant focus on providing services and support to underserved communities.
Key programs initiated by the Black Panther Party included:
Free Breakfast for Children, feeding thousands of children before school.
Free Medical Clinics: Providing healthcare in communities where access was limited.
Educational Initiatives: Offering political education and literacy programs.
Community Self-Defense: Organizing armed patrols to monitor police activity and protect neighborhoods.
While the BPP did fundraise to support these initiatives, money-making was never their core mission. Their work primarily sought to challenge the socioeconomic and racial inequalities of the time.
When individuals prioritize personal financial gain over uplifting and supporting the community, their actions do not go unnoticed. When prominent figures like Snoop, Nelly, soulja boy,and Rick Ross choose to center their focus on personal interests rather than the collective good, they risk losing the trust and respect of the very community that once supported them.
While your vote is private and personal, your public support for Trump speaks volumes about your priorities and where your true allegiances lie. You may retain your wealth, but do not expect solidarity upon your return. Aligning with opposing interests during challenging times reveals much about your character and values, far more than it does about the community you claim to represent.
This mindset does not reflect the unity, resilience, and integrity that truly define our community’s spirit.
This was a selfish act that was not in the spirit of people that sacrifice for you, Nelly, Snoop, Soulja Boy, or Rick Ross, to be in a position to help.

If there is any positive takeaway from this situation, it is that your true character has been revealed. One would expect a respected OG figure like Snoop to lead the way and refuse, but he gave his approval instead.
