Being authentic means being your self with words and actions. If this offends someone it is about them- something they have not dealt with or something they are insecure about. This is true but this is also the time to be compassionate and empathetic! To say you understand that what you said or did upset them or struck a cord in them and then try to walk them through why this happened! This is the foundation to great relationships.
