John Koessler's latest book, Dangerous Virtues: How to Follow Jesus When Evil Masquerades as Good, takes a look at the 7 deadly sins mentioned in scripture and warns us about how they have been re-written in society today. 

John Koessler is an award-winning author and retired faculty emeritus of pastoral studies of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He is married to Jane and has two sons, Drew and Jarred. John is the author of Dangerous Virtues  (Moody), Practicing the Present (Moody), The Radical Pursuit of Rest (InterVarsity), The Surprising Grace of Disappointment (Moody),  Folly, Grace & Power: The Mysterious Act of Preaching (Zondervan), A Stranger in the House of God (Zondervan) and served as general editor of The Moody Handbook of Preaching (Moody).
