Today on Bold Steps, Pastor Mark Jobe challenges us to resist compromise. We’ll be examining the life and calling of the Hebrew patriarch, Abraham, as described in Genesis 12.  Abraham is the father of our faith … but his life was by no means, perfect.  Abraham had several character flaws that caused some major problems not only for him and his family … but for us, as well.  And in a message called, Embrace Your Calling Without Falling Apart, Pastor Mark challenges us to fight the temptation to compromise in what we’ve been called to do.  It’s part of our series called, Don’t Stop Believing.

You might haveheard of the game, Chicken.  And the Choking Game, and Red-Light Fire Drills.  But no game we play is more dangerous than the game people play with God. There are a lot of people in our churches today who look like they have it all together, but don’t … and so we’re going to be talking about purity and how it relates to the Body of Christ. Our hearts and motives need to be pure when it comes to the mission of God. We need less religiosity and more relationship. Less hypocrisy and more authenticity. And we’re going to see in our message that there are some pretty severe consequences that happen when
