This week on episode 122, I'm joined by the former WBA-NABA super featherweight champion, during his amateur boxing career he had a record of 167 wins, and 11 losses, and won 60 of those fights by way of knockout. In 2016 he turned professional and now on the professional level, he has a current record of 21 wins, 1 loss, and 15 wins by way of knockout. in 2020 he signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank Boxing alongside murphy's boxing, he's fought on the big stages such as the well-known Hulu theatre in new york city, the hard rock hotel and casino in Oklahoma, and of course the MGM grand conference center in Nevada. Abraham Nova stopped by the show!
Had a great talk with Abraham. On paper Abrahma nova is a boxer by profession, but he's a man who's trying to make the most of whatever comes his way, coming from humble beginnings, nova wanted to make a name for himself, and every time he wakes up he tries to do just that.
This episode we get into:
Growing up In Albany new york with his parents and 10 other siblings
Lessons he learned growing up in challenging and trying environments
How he started boxing and what kept him in it
What boxing taught him about himself
The importance of Hard work and discipline
How his faith and his circle helped him stay grounded
Why patience is essential for your character development
What he thought his best fight was
The backstory behind his fight with Robeisy Ramirez & what he learned after a loss
His next fight date & Why he's not staying in the 126 division
a word of encouragement for someone that might need it
and so much more.
You might have seen him in the ring, this episode will give you more insight into how he became the person he is today.
