In 2015 a small town in Missouri was rocked by an unspeakable crime: a loving mother found brutally murdered and her disabled teen daughter missing. After an arrest in Wisconsin, the truth of the story came to light. The disabled teen daughter was not a teenager nor disabled and the mother was not loving at all. She had been systematically torturing her daughter with unnecessary surgeries & medications all her life making her believe she had seizures, cancer and other ailments as well as lying about her age until her daughter could take it no longer and enlisted her online boyfriend in murdering her mother to free her from the abuse. Another real life true story meets Hollywood, tonight we discuss "The Haunting of Connecticut." The 2009 film fictionalizes the real life 1986 story of the Snedeker Family. After moving into a former funeral home in Connecticut to be closer to the hospital for their older son's cancer treatments, the Snedekers immediately started having horrifying paranormal experiences. They finally got Ed & Lorraine Warren involved and after an exorcism, the experiences stopped. A 142 year old unsolved triple homicide in a small Kentucky town the day before Christmas. Noted as the first slasher movie in the horror genre, 1974 "Black Christmas" (and its 2006 counterpart) was actually based on a true life real crime story about a 14 year old boy who bludgeoned his mother to death one month before Christmas. A putrid smell coming from a funeral home in Colorado revealed a literal house of horrors. Return to Nature funeral home, formerly run by Jon and Carie Hallford was exposed this past October of improperly storing close to 200 remains allegedly since 2019. The Hallfords were arrested the following month after fleeing the state to Oklahoma and charged with 190 counts of abuse of a corpse as well as money laundering and a whole host of other felonies. The tenth installment in the "SAW" film franchise, "SAW X" takes place after "SAW" & prior to "SAW II." John Kramer aka Jigsaw is dying from an inoperable brain tumor. After a chance meeting at a cancer support group, he finds a possible cure but he has to travel to Mexico City. John unfortunately does not get the cure he was promised and after that, all hell breaks loose on those that wronged him. This movie was truly made for the original "SAW" fans.
