Welcome back to "Unlock The Genius Within".
Today I speak about holding back! There have been many things that I've gone for and wanted to go for in my life where I've assumed I would be judged for doing so. Judged by others, by the world, but (if I'm honest) mostly by myself.
In the early part of my creative journey, everything I went for needed a solid reason behind it and a sense of acceptance from others. If these components weren't there, then I would create a living hell for myself internally, while either trying to go for the thing or giving up altogether. It's only been in the last 2 years that I've learnt it doesn't need to be like this!
It can actually be much more simple, and that's what I speak about today.
Here's a breakdown of what I covered:
- How my assumption of being a "weirdo" for rapping created a hit song that I later wished never existed.
- What writing my book taught me about "things making sense" and how that's actually worst thing to go for when writing.
- How chasing the acceptance of the "macho" culture in business sent me down a dark road.
- How "not having a motive" has completely transformed my mental & emotional health as a creator.
- Why I'm wanting my businesses, books & music to start to take on a life of their own.
And so much more!
P.S. If you are wanting to go deeper with me in bringing your genius to life in your business or career, there's 2 ways you can do that right now.
