This week, we were challenged to take a hard look at our own hearts before pointing out the flaws in others. Jesus’ words in Matthew 7 show how easy it is to focus on the speck in someone else’s eye while ignoring the plank in our own. Instead of living with a critical spirit, we’re invited to recognize our own sin, receive God’s mercy, and walk in humility. When we truly see how much grace we’ve been given, it reshapes how we treat the people around us.
