The job market is diabolical, so naturally we went to Reddit.
This week, we’re talking about what happens when you do everything you were told would lead to a “good career” and…nothing happens. Endless applications, networking fatigue, LinkedIn hacks, unemployment anxiety, an offer getting rescinded over ONE question, take-home assignments that start looking suspiciously like free work, and a manager policing someone’s daily cup of company coffee.
It’s one of our heavier episodes, but also one of our most honest: there is no one-size-fits-all strategy for getting hired right now, and struggling in this market does not mean you’re doing everything wrong.
Sometimes you need a new strategy. Sometimes you need your community. Sometimes you need to send the random LinkedIn message.
And sometimes you need to take the damn K-Cup.

Did you actually choose your career… or did you take one job, then another, and suddenly wake up like wait, how did I get here?
This week on Don’t Jump, we’re talking about the very casual existential crisis of realizing your life may have formed around whatever felt safe, feeling like everyone else somehow got ahead of you, and whether it’s ever actually “too late” to change direction.
We get into:
✨ Accidentally drifting into a life you never consciously chose
✨ Feeling behind at 30 and mourning the life you thought you’d have
✨ Whether the answer is acceptance… or, according to Sam, simply “catch up”
✨ What people who successfully pivot careers actually have in common
✨ Why waiting until you feel 100% ready might be the thing keeping you stuck

This week on Don’t Jump, we’re debating AITA posts about job hopping, quitting, corporate loyalty, better job offers, workplace drama, and knowing when it’s time to move on.
Would you stay loyal to a company that won’t promote you? Quit a job you just started for a better offer? Leave a stable corporate career to pursue something you actually care about?
We’re breaking down the career decisions, workplace situations, and questionable choices that have Reddit asking: who’s actually in the wrong?
