In today’s Gospel, Jesus warns us against doing good deeds for our own glorification. Do you live to please God, or do you live simply to please others? What are you looking for in return? Why would you forfeit the praise of God for the praise of others? Don’t live just for the here and now. Get an eternal perspective.
