Just a quick word of encouragement to those who may feel overwhelmed after coming out of any spiritual movements that have caused trauma and hurt.

Don't lose hope

What if what you have always believed in turned out to have some really twisted roots? Would you be willing to do the hard work of researching and reanalyzing all you held as truth? Could you do the digging up and tearing down of false teaching you had built your faith on without losing hope and trust in the one thing that has held up to scrutiny? I hope that you will listen to what I have to share and begin to see where some misunderstandings have rooted themselves in your heart and mind. Make sure you are reading it right.
