When the New Year’s fireworks finally became visible from my house, I ran to the window like a little kid. My daughter was downstairs dancing with her headphones on, and as I kept calling her to come see, I started heading down the stairs to get her. That’s when God stopped me and showed me: as I was trying to make sure she didn’t miss the fireworks, I was the one missing them.

In this episode, I talk about what that moment taught me about people-pleasing, stepping in front of trains for everyone else, burnout from always “showing up,” and why you are not anyone’s savior. We’ll get into algorithm pressure, guilt around resting, the Player One analogy, motherhood, and finally seeing your own worth. This year, we’re not missing our own fireworks trying to drag people who are perfectly content where they are.
