Jean-Pierre shares his story of being diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer after suffering a painful femur fracture. He describes the initial shock and fear, as well as his decision to not accept the 3-5 year prognosis and instead take an active, research-driven approach to his healing.
Cultivating a healing mindset @ 8:12Jean-Pierre explains the key elements that helped him develop a healing mindset, including: using his scientific and analytical skills to research and understand his condition, practicing gratitude to overcome fear, having deep conversations with his "creator" to find purpose and meaning, and framing questions in a positive way to empower solutions.
Jean-Pierre discusses the difficult side effects and complications he faced during his chemotherapy treatment, including gallbladder issues, pneumonia, and psychosis. He emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive, problem-solving mindset to get through these setbacks.
Jean-Pierre shares how his near-death experience led him to re-evaluate his priorities and relationships. He decided that the most important thing is to "love and be loved", and this guided him to let go of toxic situations and people from his past in order to surround himself with more positive, growth-oriented connections.
Inspired by the medical professionals who saved his life, Jean-Pierre has redirected his career as an engineer and inventor towards developing AI-powered tools to help patients better understand complex medical information and improve their healthcare experience.
After several challenging months, Jean-Pierre's oncologist recently informed him that he is in remission and his body is responding well to the treatments. He is grateful for this positive outcome and the opportunity to live a full, purposeful life moving forward.

Striving to live a conscious and healthy lifestyle since learning TM meditation at the age of 14, Jean-Pierre lived most of his life in good health until an unexpected injury at the age of 56. Suffering a painful femur fracture shortly after a strenuous move, the subsequent inspection at the hospital found that Jean-Pierre's femurs had been weakened by Multiple Myeloma cancer.
