Satterley Property group's ongoing fight to develop North Stoneville has again hit a wall, with the Western Australian Planning Commission rejecting the hills develop.

Nigel Satterley says the decision was "surprising and disappointing" but locals say it's hardly a surprise to them, with the area being a high fire risk every year.

Journalist and spokesperson of the Save Perth Hills residents group, Debra Bishop, joined Chris to explain why the community is so strongly against the development.
